Anneliese Garcia Sharp - Psychotherapist

Anneliese sees adults, and adolescents 16 and older

Anneliese holds a Master of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

Anneliese is a compassionate and approachable therapist who understands that reaching out for support can be difficult. She works with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and complex PTSD. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported as they work through what they are experiencing.

Anneliese believes that healing happens through connection, self-understanding, and sometimes even a little laughter along the way. She takes an integrative approach to therapy, recognizing that every person is different and that there is no single approach that works for everyone. She draws from person-centred, cognitive behavioural, narrative, strengths-based, and solution-focused therapies, along with mindfulness practices, to meet each client where they are.

In sessions, Anneliese encourages clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and strengths with curiosity and compassion. She hopes to help each person feel validated in their experiences while developing greater confidence and understanding of themselves.
